Nutrition is an important part of a healthy life. Nutrition education can help form the foundation for families to practice healthy eating behaviors throughout life.

NCHD nutritionist education goals include:

  • Providing information on common nutrition issues and concerns that affect infants, children, and their families.
  • Providing consistent, up to date nutrition guidelines based on the best available scientific research.
  • Promoting healthy eating in a practical, positive and culturally sensitive manner.
